Upon arrival at the airport of Casablanca Mohammed V, we will meet and take you to the hotel. Our representative will provide a brief overview of the tour.
Departure for Fes will be made. The road to Fes takes us along a beautiful stretch of farmlands where olives, grain, vegetables and grapes are grown. Before arriving to Fes, you will visit Meknes and Volubilis. The latter is the site of the famous Roman ruins left from the Roman Empire's most southern outpost. Meknes is the site of the first Arab dynasty established by Moulay Ismail and has the Medersa Bou Inania and the Bab Mansour, the gateway to Moulay Ismail Palace. This leads us into the Sehrij Es-Souani, the horses stable and granaries. Upstairs is a rooftop garden and cafe with a great view of the city. Later, we arrive to Fes and check into the hotel.
After breakfast, you will begin your visit to Fes "the oldest living Medina in the world” with a local official tour guide. You will tour the Medina with its "souks" (markets), stopping at the gateway of the Royal Palace, the 9th century Karouine mosque and university. You will visit also the tomb of the city founder "Moulay Idriss II". Lunch will be at one of the traditional restaurants in the old Medina. After lunch, you will continue your tour to visit the Najarine Fountain, the old Harem Garden and the Batha Museum. On the way back to the hotel, you will stop to enjoy a panoramic view of the city.
After breakfast in the riad or hotel around 8 am we will start a day trip to Chefchaouen (“the blue city”) which is a Moroccan popular tourist attraction and welcoming town situated in the Rif Mountains just south of the Mediterranean coastline in northwest Morocco. This nice blue city is known for its traditional buildings. You will enjoy a walk to explore the white and blue washed walls of the medina and the markets that offer some unique native handicrafts. Chefchaouen is a fantastic destination for photography with its wonderful views of the Rif Mountains. You will get back to Fez in the afternoon around 07:00 pm.
After breakfast, we will start the trip to Merzouga; crossing the Atlas Mountains, passing through Ifrane and the cedar forests of Azrou, home to wild Barbary monkeys. It will be a good opportunity to take photos of Moroccan wilderness. You will have lunch in a small Berber village named Zaida. Then, we resume the trip through the Atlas Mountains, enjoying the landscapes of Midelt before passing through Rich and Erfoud, where we enter the Saharan oasis of Tafilalet. Later, we arrive in Merzouga and spend the night at a hotel near the dunes.
After breakfast at the hotel, you will start your explorative desert journey of the area, visiting the village of Khamlia and its people - originally slaves from Sudan - to experience their music and lifestyle. Not far away, there is the lake of Merzouga, with its bird populations, including flamingos. You may also like to visit the nomad wirehouse where many Berber handicrafts are priced lower than in the big cities. In the afternoon, you will ride camels, guided by an experienced camel-man, to explore the mysterious sand-sea of the Erg-Chebbi. There, you will spend your first night under the stars, or in a traditional Berber nomad tent with dinner served under the desert sky.
After breakfast, we will drive through the Dades Valley towards Kalaa M'gouna and Ouarzazate. The way through Dades Valley is the Route of One Thousand Kasbahs – providing numerous opportunities to take some of your best photographic shots of the trip. We will stop at Kalaa Mgouna, "the Roses City", to purchase rosewater, which will make your linen smell good a long time after your trip is over. We continue to Skoura and the Birds Valley and visit the Ameridil Kasbah, a well-preserved kasbah in this area. After lunch, you will have some time for hiking within the valley and then we head to Ouarzazate - “the Hollywood of Africa”. Overnight accommodation will be at a riad.
After breakfast at the riad, we will head to Taroudant via Taznakht, visiting Ait Ben Haddou Kasbah, the largest Kasbah in Morocco. It was built during the beginning of the 20th century by Thami El Glaoui, one of the last Berber chieftains. This Kasbah used to be one of his stops during his long travel from the sub-Saharan countries to Marrakech, and is now a UNESCO world heritage site. Then, in Taliouine, the capital of saffron in Morocco, you will have the option to visit the Safran co-operative. Arrive in Taroudant by the afternoon to visit the ramparts and walk through the alleys of the Medina.
Breakfast will be at the riad, and then we head for Essaouira, travelling via Agadir. Our first stop will be in Agadir, a resort city with a lovely beach promenade. The coastal road offers beautiful scenery; the area is known for its unique Argan trees. There, you will notice herds of goats climbing the Argan trees. After several stops along the coast we get to Essaouira in the afternoon, where you stay overnight at a riad in the Medina.
After breakfast at the hotel in Essaouira, we start our explorative journey of the city. You will visit the Skala Fortress, see Thuya wood carved by artisans, walk through the alleys of the medina and view hundreds of handicrafts. You will have lunch the Moroccan way, freshly bought fishes ‘cooked to order’. In the afternoon, you will have free time to wander around the beach. Essaouira, nicknamed "City of the Wind", is Morocco’s Jewel of the Atlantic.
After breakfast at the riad, you will have some free time before leaving for Marrakech. On our way you will have the opportunity to visit a women's co-operative of Argan oil. After several stops for photographs, arrive in Marrakech and check into the riad. In the evening, enjoy the magical atmosphere of Jemaa El Fna with magicians, musicians, and snake charmers.
In this full-day tour of Marrakech, you will visit the Menara, Koutoubia Mosque, Majorelle Gardens, Bahia Palace and Dar Si Said Palace Museum of Jewellery. Enjoy lunch in the medina followed by a walk through the colorful souks of Marrakech, ending with sunset drinks overlooking Jamaa El Fna Square.
Enjoy an unforgettable day trip from Marrakech to Ouzoud Waterfalls, located about 170 km northeast of the city. Discover the breathtaking 110-meter-high waterfalls amidst a stunning lush landscape populated by wild birds and monkeys, with opportunities for scenic walks and hikes.
A scenic private excursion into the Ourika Valley, nestled at the foot of the High Atlas. We focus on real Berber village life, exploring trails on foot away from crowds, enjoying fresh mountain streams and traditional hospitality before returning to Marrakech.
