Fes – Ifrane – Azrou – Ziz Valley – Merzouga Camel Trek
After breakfast in your hotel, our journey to Merzouga begins. We traverse Ifrane, often described as Morocco's Switzerland with its alpine architecture, followed by the ancient cedar forests of Azrou where you can encounter friendly Barbary macaques in their natural forest setting. Continuing through the Middle Atlas Mountains and the only tunnel in Morocco, we descend into the magnificent Ziz Valley, flanked by soaring canyon cliffs and miles of date palm oases. Reaching the gateway of the grand Sahara at Merzouga, mount your camels for a peaceful trek into the golden dunes of Erg Chebbi. Arrive at our desert camp for a warm welcome, dinner around the campfire, Berber drum music under a canopy of stars, and an overnight stay in a traditional nomad tent.
